Home Swapping Caravan for Suitcases

Yesterday we drove home from Ballina and parked the Bushtracker. Coco is now so blind and deaf I had to be right next to him before he recognised me. We were reminded of the only downside of dogs and cats - fur! It is wonderful to feel, looks lovely but immediately gets all over me in this hot weather. No amount of brushing manages our cats' fine fur.

Roz had left the front door open knowing we were coming. Coco and Riki were in and out watching us, but so was a peewee bird. I noticed a bird poop at the front doorstep and found it upstairs trying to fly through our veranda flyscreen. Fortunately I was able to catch it with a towel and it flew away apparently unharmed. This reminded me of my housemate's diving tackle 30 years ago when she used a tea towel to catch an escaped peachface parrot. My efforts were farcical in comparison!

We are staying at the Star Casino where Chinese New Year is being celebrated - very loudly!
