Jacobite
Yesterday we travelled from Fort William north to Mallaig on a "normal" train, and returned on the Jacobite. On the way up we took photos through the window so there is some reflection. The windows on the Jacobite were so dirty it would have been a useless exercise taking pictures. I eventually decided to stand in the corridor where there was an open window so I could get some shots.
Verdict - don't spend the money to travel on the Jacobite. The train can be seen at the stations and from many vantage points along the way. Better still, see the best possible views of the train going over the Glennfinnan Viaduct in the Harry Potter movies.
