Dunvegan Castle

We drove around the north west side of the Isle of Skye and visited the Dunvegan Castle. The castle is still lived in by the chief of the Clan McLeod, whose forebears in the 1800s evicted the crofters who eked out a subsistence living from the land.

This stuffed puffin was the only one we saw as they have all gone back to sea after their breeding season. We will have to come early spring to see live puffins over here. That's still on my bucket list.
