Drive Around Northern Section Of Skye

We drove north from Portree on the road that generally follows the coast. Fisrt stop was Storr where I spent half an hour climbing 700m up the steep path to the famous rocky outcrops at Storr. That's equivalent to climbing halfway up Ben Nevis. It was misty at the top so I didn't get any great pics of the most photograhed place on Skye.

At Kilt Rocks a busker was playing his bagpipes fully kitted out in his kilt. The coast here is similar to the Giant's Causewway in Northern Ireland as the moulten volcanic larva has set in regular sized columns.

The road around the top was narrow but there are plenty of places to pass. The scenery was amazing but it started to rain so we gave up taking photos and just enjoyed seeing this rugged coastline. Note to self - bring the waterproof camera next visit to the UK!
