Conwy Mountain Railway
Rather than drive the scenic routes we are doing some by train. Today we travelled on the Conwy Valley Railway from Llandudno to Blaenau Ffestiniog and back. Parts of the trip have good views but lots of the track has bushes and trees blocking the view.
At Blaenau Ffestiniog there is an historic train that is primarily for tourists. We saw guides from Viking cruise ship shepherding people aboard. That trip will be for next time.
There are lots of difficult to pronounce Welsh words with no vowels, and lots of words and names with double consonants, especially DD, FF and LL.
