Conwy Castle
I visited Conwy Castle while Anita had time out from castles and waited in the car park. I had seen photos of this impressive medieval building and planned to see it. The whole castle was built between 1277 and 1307 for an estimated cost of £15,000.
The suspension bridge and the tubular bridge to the right were built in the 1800s. The tubular bridge is rare and carries the main rail line. The road bridge to the left was built in the 1950s and there is now a tunnel under the Conwy River.
The workers on the scaffold were doing repairs to the castle wall. I was astounded by the use of yellow plastic buckets to carry heavy building materials up and down on a rope pulley.
