Avon River Bath

We walked along the towpath beside the river to the Pultney Bridge. This is one of only four bridges in the world having shops along its full length.

Next to the bridge there is a shallow weir consisting of 3 levels in the shape of a V. For a wealthy city we saw a lot of infrastructure in need of attention such as this leaking lock. There are lots of areas containing weeds, mould and rubbish, but fortunately very little graffiti.
